We spent two days for kursus haji intensif at KPM last wednesday. At the end of the two days, we were given a 25-MCQ-questions test paper. Alhamdulillah all participants manage to get more than the 40%. Those who fail will be invited for a one-day intensive simulation which will 'start' from Kelana Jaya till Mekah, a detail 'step-by-step' process. Based on this exercise i would say that i m far from ready....physically or even spiritually. We will only know if we are selected when we get the letter from Tabung haji..in syaa Allah during ramadhan or syawal.    post 'tawaf'    'safa' to 'marwa'    The Arab Saudi government has decided to cut down 20% of pilgrimage from other countries and 50% of their own due to current state of renovation at Baitullah. One of the instructor reminded us about the 'expected difficulties' ..due to the renovation work since the path for tawaf has been reduced tremendously...May Allah ease ...

Alhamdulillah..a fairly long journey, but not that tiring because it was ' a trip for two'..ha ha..nothing special. We decided that we should leave the kiddos at home. Mama 'get to rest' a bit and maryam can enjoy 'sisters day' with kak sarah. It took about 3 hours from Kuantan to Felda palong 3. The kenduri was for Liza, daughter to hubby's cousin. When we reached there it was about 2 pm. The pengantin had not arrived yet. We were invited to enjoy the food first. And the food was.....mmmm this one 'abang jais' can really cook...There was nasi minyak, lauk daging (I can not resist this lauk daging, the meat was so soft and the gravy..phewww), ayam masak merah, ikan bilis goreng with ?sengkuang, soto and kuah lodeh. Unfortunately i only managed to snap the nasi minyak as no other visitors were doing the same..macam jakun sikit rasa..:)   At about 2.30 pm the pengantin lelaki arrived. Close relatives sat infront of the pelamin for 'tol' ...

Motivasi dari yang pergi...

A colleague passed away few days ago. Though we work in different department we often met Assoc. Prof SK F, a senior lecturer at the Department of Community Medicine. I think many people at the kulliyyah 'know' him as we often met him at the stairs, going up slowly to his room. A quite person whom i often gave salam to. Occasionally I saw him with his daughter. He was not from here, so when he passed away few days ago due to acute myocardial infarction, they need to keep them at the mortuary for a day to arrange his final passage to his homeland Bangladesh. The thought of him alone at the mortuary freezer became a reminder and push this lazy bones to leave the comfort of the blanket and pillows at the middle of the night. As human we tend to have ups and downs even in our ibadah. We hear many reminders from the experts, live or through other mediums. The input sometimes result in response, sometimes its more like 'masuk telinga kiri and keluar telinga kanan'. But as we ...

Alhamdulillah, our old MATES visited us last thursday. K Long and Boone as we had always known them were in Kuantan for a short vacation. We were neighbours in Adelaide. k long and boone were among the pioneers of 'married students'. They were married at the end of their second year at med school. The are blessed with two handsome boys. These friends of mine, are now succesfull medical specialists, Boone being an O&G expert while K long the radiologist.   While i can understand the call for 'only-female-O&G specialists' in malaysia by someone few weeks ago, i dont know if many lady doctors out there willing to serve like this one male government O&G expert. Since there is not many senior consultant O&G serving in the government hospital (as the offer at the private hospital is indeed very lucrative), its not uncommon for boone to travel past midnight for 1 and a 1/2 hour from Muar to Segamat to help save mother's and/or baby's life when emer...
