Not really an open house. Just invited some friends. Alhamdulillah..rarely do we get the time to sit down and chat with friends. Our friend drzainab n hubby who work in UK..drsiti..drfadhil..drlela...drjun..drzam. used to work together with some of them. I just ordered some food from the caterer PFU..cooked some rendang n nasi impit. Seronok ramai ramai but would be nicer we have a big verandah..insyaAllah ada rezki in future

A colleague passed away few days ago. Though we work in different department we often met Assoc. Prof SK F, a senior lecturer at the Department of Community Medicine. I think many people at the kulliyyah 'know' him as we often met him at the stairs, going up slowly to his room. A quite person whom i often gave salam to. Occasionally I saw him with his daughter. He was not from here, so when he passed away few days ago due to acute myocardial infarction, they need to keep them at the mortuary for a day to arrange his final passage to his homeland Bangladesh. The thought of him alone at the mortuary freezer became a reminder and push this lazy bones to leave the comfort of the blanket and pillows at the middle of the night. As human we tend to have ups and downs even in our ibadah. We hear many reminders from the experts, live or through other mediums. Talking about cancer nowadays is not like 10 years ago. Yup..about 10 years ago I was the MO incharge of Palliative unit in HTAA. I dealt with patients who had terminal cancer..day in day out. I was used to being called at 3 am in the morning, to sign mortuary form. And usually i knew who was the person as i cared for them during the day. Yup we provide the best for them, but not cure..But today when the conversation about cancer crop in..its not about Mr so and so or Ms so and so but our friends..Yup at this age my friends get cancer. Either close or distant but its our generation. And instead of the 'predictable' cancer with 2-5 years of life expectancy we are talking about a person whom was busy working last few months and now dead...They left us so quick we thought we are dreaming..Yet its not a dream and indeed we lost our loved one so fast that we dont even get the chance to sit down and cry....things move so fast. They come with some pain in the tummy or difficulty to sw...

Salam, I was thinking about my friends this last few weeks and alhamdulillah, 2 days back, God willing, I accidently bumped into Rozi the dentist. She now owns a clinic at Shah Alam and walla tonite I finally managed to trace our karipapa pusing expert...As..now a busy GP at Subang...So indeed this is a small world and with interner excess I managed to trace old friens..Now its up to us wheter to keep the flame going or not. BTW Tini and Budin is in Malaysia and wished to see old friends..Considering the time constraint I dont know if we can gather the MATES II

Even those coming together under MATES 2 do not get the chance to meet..some probably dont bother to..But I wish to meet them..a reunion maybe.. And those dentists...rozita, ayu, marzuki, timah and.... And also..David Tingay, James harding, mathew, Chui Mei, aaaaaaaaa tak inga...
